Infant Toddler Program (0-36 months)
At Teeter Tots Early Learning Centre, our Infant and Toddler Program (ages 0–36 months) provides a nurturing and secure environment where the youngest children can grow, explore, and thrive. Our caring educators focus on building strong bonds with each child, supporting emotional security while gently encouraging independence. The room is designed to stimulate curiosity and the senses, with soft textures, engaging toys, music, and interactive activities tailored to each child’s developmental stage. Daily experiences such as free play, story-time, and sensory exploration help infants develop coordination, self-awareness, and confidence in a safe and comforting space. We work closely with families to ensure each child’s individual needs and routines are respected, helping infants feel comfortable and supported as they take their first steps toward independence and early learning.
Day Care Program (Three to Five Years)
At Teeter Tots Early Learning Centre, our two daycare programs are led by licensed Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Education Assistants, all trained in Emergency Child Care First Aid. Our educators participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and conferences to stay current with the latest research in child development. Following the British Columbia Early Learning Framework, our program offers a rich variety of activities that nurture all areas of development, social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills. Teachers carefully observe and engage with each child, adapting individual learning experiences to match their interests, strengths, and emerging abilities. Children in our 3–5 program explore through hands-on activities, creative arts, science, storytelling, outdoor play, and problem-solving experiences. We encourage independence, curiosity, and cooperative play, helping children build confidence, social skills, and a love of learning as they prepare for kindergarten.
After School Care Program (Five to Twelve Years)
At Teeter Tots Early Learning Centre, our School Age Program provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children aged 5–12. Our program is designed to support children’s growth, independence, and social development while keeping them motivated and involved after school. We offer morning and afternoon school shuttles from three local elementary schools—College Heights, Southridge, and Malaspina—making transitions between school and care smooth and convenient for families. Beyond daily care, we provide programming for winter, spring, summer breaks, and professional development days, ensuring children have consistent, quality care year-round. Our school-age program includes a mix of recreational, educational, and creative activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, science experiments, team games, and quiet homework time. Children are encouraged to develop friendships, problem-solving skills, and confidence while exploring new interests in a supportive and fun environment.
